Chemical Peels At SkinFX Med Spa

Get a handle on aging and give your skin a second chance with a chemical peel. Chemical peels resurface and renew your face. Chemical peels target the top layers of your skin and are composed of glycolic or salicylic acid in different concentrations. Peels are applied to your skin to remove the top layer of your skin, and the skin that grows back is younger-looking, smooth, and blemish-free skin.

Chemical peels also provide new texture and tone to your skin by decreasing wrinkles, scars, and other skin damage. Chemical peels soothe the damage of sun and environmental exposure, aging, and scarring and your skin back its youth.

Solutions of varying acid solutions are applied to your face. The solution is designed to cause your skin to peel away. The new skin is smoother and less wrinkled than your previous skin.

There are three types of chemical peels you can request. The type of peel depends on your goals and what skin damage you are trying to change.

Level I Chemical Peels remove the surface layer of your skin, but it is very gentle. Level I peels are the perfect remedy for an upcoming event, or a quick pick me up. These are great for maintenance and an intro to a chemical peel. Level I peels can be done once every two to three weeks.

Level II chemical peels remove skin imperfections more aggressively than your Level I peel. These are where we go if your skin needs to address bigger concerns such as uneven skin, deeper wrinkles, and acne scars. Level II chemical peels can be done every three to four weeks. For big concerns that we are trying to address, we recommend doing a series of peels to see your most optimal results.

Level III Chemical peels are the most aggressive peels we offer at SkinFX. Chemical peels are a blend of acids to reach the papillary dermis. Thus, addressing big skin concerns such as acne, dark spots/sun spots/melasma, pore appearance size, textural scarring, mild rosacea, and aging skin.

At SkinFX, our Level III chemical peel is The Perfect Derma TM Peel, a medical-grade chemical peel. It provides excellent skin exfoliation and resurfacing while stimulating collagen to repair the skin. Your chemical peel is effective and very safe when done by a professional. Consult with the professionals at SkinFX to determine the best chemical solution for you.
